Seven months
Jeepers, so sorry for not posting for a week. My working day is finishing past midnight at the moment so when I say I haven’t been able to find a moment to post, I really mean that. But to make up for it, here’s a bumper crop of photos.
Nape
The nape of his neck is so soft and gorgeous, and when I stroke him there he shrugs a little bit then giggles. And sometimes falls over.
Funny things
Some things are funny, and sheep pencil cases with dangly legs are amongst them. Here, Ro demonstrates the endless entertainment possibilities of a pencil case. Who knew.
He is. Just. PERFECT.
Happy six month birthday little angel
Six months today. His daddy came home from work early and we sang him his happy birthday song. He liked that.
Half-birthday activities included playing with The Boy In The Mirror:
And sitting in The Den:
Such a lovely songbaby.
Raaarrr
Oh gallant Piglet, Piglet, ho! / Did Piglet tremble, did he flinch? / No no, he struggled inch by inch / Through Letters Only, as I know / Because I saw him go. –AA Milne
Yesterday we went into London for a meeting, and whilst we were there we went to the zoo. And Ro saw his first lion. Note that, when all the other people jump back because the lion jumps up, Ro and I do not even flinch. That’s ‘cos we’re rock ‘ard.
Sucking the goodness out of things, and a new game
Sleepy
It struck me that he’s going to outgrow his hammocky nest thing soon, so I thought I better get an action shot of him sleeping soundly.
When I got my cats, over ten years ago, I bought the biggest cat basket I could find and popped them in it. They rattled around inside this cavernous space as I took them home, at 6 weeks of age. Now, the two of them can barely fit inside at the same time. It’s a similar story with this nest. When Ro was tiny, I had to use a couple of bolster cushions to keep him in the middle of the nest. Now he’s pressed up against the edges.
My big boy.
